Education

MSc Computer Science, Data Mining, 2008, Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Alexandria, Egypt. Thesis title “Document Clustering using Graph-based Growing Hierarchal Self-Organizing Map (G-GHSOM)”. The research project was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Yasser El-Sonbaty and Dr. Mahmoud Hussin.

BSc Computer Science, 2004, the Islamic University of Gaza, Gaza, Palestine

General Secondary School Certificate, Science division,2000, Khanyounis, Gaza, Palestine

Summary of Research interests and experience

The main focus of my research work is in the area of document clustering using Artificial intelligent, where text documents can be automatically grouped into groups of similar subjects. The idea of my MSc research project depends on the use of the graph model to represent documents and on the Growing Hierarchal Self-Organizing Map to classify them into groups in order to achieve a reliable grouping system. This idea and application of this research has been decided in detail in a paper which has accepted in an international conference (see publication list).

Current Research Work

The main focus of my current research work is in the area of extracting the Keyword of documents’ clusters using my MSc research project , where my representation of documents has been done using graph, so the weighted vertices of graph can be represented the keywords. To Success this research project, teamwork composed of Mr. Ayman Ghabayen and me is organized.
